Ninja x Samurai Harem
*sigh*
All I can say first of all is, this was getting to a good point and then boom, the "you are up-to-date with Geten no Hana". Like come on!! I was enjoying it!
Okay mini rage over. I love Geten no Hana for many things before I even get to the story: Feudal Japan, Samurai, Ninja. I love Feudal Japan and the whole Samurai/Ninja life that came with it, and to finally see a manga which is based in that era, all I can say is Ruby Party I take my hat off to you. If I wore hats. But I love that you chose this setting.
I'd recommend this to anyone who just wants a Feudal Japan based manga, but also warn them that (at the time of reading the manga and posting this) only 8 chapters have been released on Mangahere. Sad times guys. Sad times.
Moving on to the story now, and we meet a kunoichi called Hotaru. She's been given a mission by Mitsuhide (the guy in the image with Hotaru) which concerns the infamous Oda Nobunaga, who looks good in this manga for all you girls out there. Kyou from Black Bird is mine, so Nobunaga is free to take!
Mini fangirling aside, Hotaru's mission is to infiltrate Nobunaga's castle, and that's all she's been told my Mitsuhide. She also transforms herself to look different, going under the guise of Kikyou, Mitsuhide's younger sister. From there we get to meet Nobunaga's entourage shall we say, including his younger brother Nobuyuki, Ranmaru Mori, and another guy who's quite good looking but his name always escapes me (comment if you know his name!).
So throughout Hotaru/Kikyou's mission, she can't let her guard down at all, since the mission will be over as soon as the wrong person shall we say finds out her true identity. Also, we get to see the kind of man Nobunaga is. Now I don't know of his history, but Geten no Hana states he wanted to conquer the world, and is quite knowledgeable and likes to experience the new cultures he discovers, such as using a globe and eating foreign food. But, someone doesn't like Nobunaga's dream, as we see quite early on. Turns out someone has employed ninja to take him out, yet we don't know if that is actually Hotaru's mission. I say this despite reading the major twist in the most recent chapter, and if you've also read this you'll know what I mean. If you haven't, you'll understand soon enough.
That's all I can pretty much say for now, but I've forgotten to mention the harem that's forming until now. Yes guys, Kikyou is attracting a harem with Nobunaga and his entourage. I can't wait to see how that turns out. Nobunaga seems like a good guy for her and he enjoys Kikyou's presence, but more guys are wanting her too!
Geten no Hana looks like it'll be good, but with very few chapters released, it's a shame we've gotten to a good part but there's no sign of chapter 9. Like that cliffhanger at the end of chapter 8 can't be left like that for a long time! Totally recommend this, but I'd say wait a bit longer before you start this if you don't want to rage wait.
